  • Saint Mary's College of California: 2019 West Coast Rugby Conference Women's Collegiate 2nd Place
Why do you enjoy coaching?
Coaching rugby has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. Rugby is unlike any other sport and being able to coach girls in a sport that might be seen as masculine, I am here to teach them that gender, race, religion, sexuality, or athletic ability does not define you in rugby. Rugby is for anyone who wishes to learn and play. Many girls who join have little to no experience on how to play rugby and within a couple of days, they are ready to play the game. So many of the girls become stronger physically, and mentally, but also confident with themselves and create a welcoming space for all to join and become a part of rugby. Rugby gave has given me a community filled with long-lasting friends and family near and far, and I only hope to continue to bring that inclusive environment to all athletes at Carondelet.
 
Coaching Accomplishments:
Coach Janet has led the Cougars Rugby program to continued success over the past several years including the 2021 Rugby NorCal Fall 7's Cup Championship and the 2023 Rugby NorCal Spring 10s Championship
